The Story
As a composer, José Serebrier established himself very early in his career. He was 17 years old when Leopold Stokowski gave the world premiere of his Symphony No. 1. His dual career as a composer and conductor spans seven decades. His newest piece for solo violin, "Midnight", joins a number of other solo violin pieces which Serebrier has written: Aires de Tango, Enigma, Paul and Michele, Thinking of You, and Sonata for Violin Alone. Another gem is the composer's violin and piano arrangement of Tango in Blue, which he originally composed for orchestra.
