Arthur: Ave Maria for mixed choir (SATB) a cappella

• A new setting which explores the original Ave Maria plainchant
• Plainchant is shared between all the voices creating a choral mosaic of sound
• Explores a wide mixture of choral textures from sparse minimal sections to full homophonic writing for the whole choir
• The coda explores the use of mixed syllables between the choral parts in a rich chordal texture, before a last reference to the plainchant melody.
