The Story

For Two Pianos

Lowell Liebermann (composer)

The world-famous Dranoff Two Piano Competition based in Miami, FL has commissioned a number of new works from composers such as William Bolcom, Morton Gould, Ned Rorem, and Michel Legrand, and in 2001 approached Liebermann for a required performance piece. Three Lullabies is the response, and eight finalist piano duo teams performed the work live. Three Lullabies has since found a home as performing repertoire for many of the finer piano duos.
