The Story
This book is a compilation of several pieces from volumes 2 and 3 in addition to two new ones. Kat composed "Sunny Day in Portland" when she was 15 years old, one year after moving to the U.S. She played it as an encore after her performance of a Mozart piano concerto with the Portland Chamber Orchestra. It's an effective recital closer, and is always well received with an audience. Each book includes "Kat Notes" - performance tips and technical details for all the pieces. This collection will hopefully encourage the improvement of your student's piano skills as well as the desire to perform in front of an audience.
